Danny Chan
Partner
Danny Chan is an entrepreneur, private equity executive, investor, and film and television producer with more than two decades of experience spanning finance, capital markets, private equity, and entertainment. Throughout his career, he has founded three venture-backed companies and developed a track record of identifying, financing, and building businesses across multiple industries and international markets.
Mr. Chan began his career in finance investing in and advising emerging companies, with an early focus on the life sciences sector. His work included helping companies raise capital and access the public markets through successful listings on major stock exchanges.
He currently serves as Managing Director of Iconic Private Equity Partners, a Hong Kong-based private equity and investment firm. During his career, Mr. Chan has participated in the financing and public listing of more than 40 companies, with experience encompassing private equity, growth capital, corporate finance, public-market transactions, and strategic investments.
In addition to his career in finance, Mr. Chan has established a significant presence in the entertainment industry as a film and television producer and financier, accumulating more than 25 film and television credits.
Among his most recognized projects is the acclaimed 2022 horror film Barbarian, which he co-financed and produced alongside New Regency. The film debuted as the #1 movie at the domestic box office during its opening weekend. In 2026, Mr. Chan expanded his work in television by selling his first television series to Netflix.
Mr. Chan is a recipient of the Sagamore of the Wabash, the highest honor bestowed by the Governor of Indiana upon a private citizen.
Throughout his career, he has been featured in prominent media outlets including The Wall Street Journal, Fox Business Network, Yahoo Finance, CBS News, Money Magazine, MarketWatch, Variety, and The Hollywood Reporter.
Mr. Chan earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.
Elliott Choi
Partner
Elliott Choi is an investor, corporate strategist and family office executive with more than 17 years of international experience across Australia, Hong Kong and the United States.
As Founder and Partner of Iconic Private Equity Partners, he advises private companies, investors and family enterprises on corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, capital allocation and long-term value creation. His experience spans strategic advisory, principal investment, corporate transformation and executive leadership across multiple industries.
Elliott also plays an active leadership role in the Choi Family Office, where he is involved in the management and strategic oversight of the family’s investment portfolio and business interests across multiple jurisdictions. Working alongside the family principals, he helps drive investment decisions, capital allocation, governance, succession planning and the long-term management of a diversified portfolio of operating businesses, property and private investments.
Throughout his career, Elliott has established trusted relationships with leading investment funds, family offices, banks, institutional investors and ultra-high-net-worth individuals across the Asia-Pacific region. He has advised businesses across a broad range of industries, including consumer products, retail, food and beverage, gaming, agriculture and property, with particular expertise in cross-border transactions, corporate structuring and strategic business transformation.
Prior to establishing Iconic Private Equity Partners, Elliott worked within the investment division of Jones Lang LaSalle in Hong Kong, specialising in institutional real estate investment, development opportunities and strategic transactions.
In parallel with his advisory practice, Elliott serves as Managing Director of Crown State Pastoral, where he led the strategic and financial turnaround of one of Australia’s integrated premium beef operations. His experience as both an investor and operating executive enables him to provide commercially grounded advice informed by firsthand leadership, capital allocation and organisational transformation.
Elliott holds a degree in Economics and Business Management from Occidental College in Los Angeles. He is recognised for combining financial discipline with commercial judgement, strategic thinking and operational execution to help businesses and investors create sustainable long-term value.
